Solution: NR583NP Week 8: Collaboration Café
Through NR583, I learned many concepts of nursing informatics. Among the concepts that stood out and significantly impacted my understanding of health information systems (HIS) and their role in advanced nursing practice are the integration of electronic health records (EHRs), mobile Health (mHealth) applications, clinical decision support systems (CDSS), extended reality technologies in nursing, and cybersecurity. I gain an in-depth understanding of the role and impact of HITs in workflow, documentation, patient outcomes, and healthcare delivery. Learning about mHealth Apps, particularly, The Chief Complaint application was very exciting. I shared the information with my colleagues and most of them have reported using it in their practice to support health management and clinical decision-making. Knowledge of cybersecurity threats including malware, ransomware, spoofing, phishing, and insider threats and their mitigation strategies built my understanding of the importance of complying with HIPAA laws, security and privacy protection features to protect sensitive patient information and maintain operational integrity.
As a master’s prepared nurse, I will leverage my knowledge of EHR systems to improve documentation accuracy and workflow efficiency and also advocate for system enhancements…Please click purchase button below to get full answer for $5
